Roots Cafe and Grill
Our Story
Where culinary passion meets unmatched hospitality, fueled by an inspiring journey. Owner and Head Chef Alfredo's dream of returning to Richland Hills to serve the community they love has brought their shared vision to life - one delicious, made-from-scratch breakfast at a time.
A Journey of Passion and Dedication
What began as a humble start 25 years ago has now come full circle, turning into a journey of passion, dedication, and community. Chef Alfredo first walked through the doors of this very restaurant as a young worker, eager to learn and grow. Over the years, he worked his way up from kitchen staff to chef, perfecting his craft and forming lasting bonds with the community. After gaining experience in other cities, Alfredo returned with a new vision, one that would bring his dream to life: to continue serving the very community that had helped shape his story.
The Dream Becomes Reality
However, this dream didn’t become a reality overnight. Alfredo has worked tirelessly to bring back the warmth, care, and dedication that made this restaurant a cherished part of the Richland Hills neighborhood. His combined passion for food, community, and family has fueled the restaurant’s revival, and he is proud to serve the people who welcomed them back with open arms.
More Than Just Food: A Legacy of Flavor, Community and Love
Today, Alfredo is not just the face behind the kitchen; he is the heartbeat of a tradition that has spanned decades. His dedication to serving delicious, made-from-scratch breakfasts is a reflection of his own story—one of hard work, perseverance, and love for the neighborhood. It’s more than just food; it’s about bringing people together, honoring the bonds that connect us all, and creating a place where everyone feels at home.
As he continues to share the passion for great food with the community, Alfredo remains committed to the same values that have guided him from the very beginning. He is excited to continue serving Richland Hills and beyond, one meal at a time.
